“Meditations” is a series of sculptures and paintings based on a hundred drawings I created in close collaboration with my friend and model Tito. Both concerned with the tragic direction our world was headed, we became focused on articulating our emotional response to the escalating violence, hatred, and fear. Some of my drawings became the bases for the paintings, that later culminated in a series of sculptures.

I consider myself a witness, and exploring the way individual lives are altered by political events has been a recurring theme.
